How do new technologies create ties
between people? To what extent is the act of connecting with others at the
heart of artistic experiences in the field of new media? The works of Luc
Courchesne and the activities of Montreal's SAT (The Society for Arts and
Technology) are based on encounters, networking and partnerships, and illustrate
how the terrain of new media artistry is founded upon dialogue and exchange
between individuals.
